The Study of Handle Improvement of Low Quality Cashmere

摘要

To improve low quality cashmere (sheep cashmere) has received special attention. This report shows how the sheep cashmere fabrics can be modified for an extremely soft handle similar to high quality cashmere to meet par-ticular market requirements. This enables the sheep cashmere fiber to be used in a much broader range of products. In order to get very soft handle products, the most effective processes are to give a chlorination pre-treatment followed by the polyurethane and the aminosil-icone treatments under suitable conditions.
