Offiine Arabic character recognition system
摘要
Several languages use the Arabic alphabets and Arabic scripts present challenges because the letter shape is context sensitive. For the past three decades, there has been a mounting interest among researchers in this problem. In this paper we present an Arabic Character Recognition system and review the theory behind the Arabic recognition system, the characteristics of Arabic writing, the sequence steps of recognizing Arabic text.These steps are separately discussed, and previous research work on each step is reviewed. Also in this paper we give some samples of Arabic fonts.
