Spatial data management for WebGIS

摘要

Spatial data management is an important factor that affects the performance of WebGIS. In this paper, spatial data management for WebGIS is discussed from two aspects: spatial data model and data storage. Can'rent data models and storage methods are analyzed and compared. According to the requirments of spatial data management for WebGIS, a spatial data model is proposed, which organizes spatial data in four levels: geometry, feature, layer and map. Based on this model, spatial data are managed and stored in object-relational database management system (ORDBMS).
