Research on the Path of the Working Mechanism of Legal Members in Hospital Ethics Review Committees

With the increasing complex ethical review issues brought by the application of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence medical and gene editing, the role definition and responsibility evolution legal committee of medical ethics committee in hospitals are facing severe challenges. This article sorts out the current situation and work mechanism problems of the legal committee of medical ethics committee in 50 hospitals across the country and 36 hospitals in Fujian Province; proposes innovative selection and certification mechanism, and constructs a legal risk graded review and list management process, implements a cross disciplinary knowledge collaborative system, and strengthens the independence, authority and objection response mechanism of the legal committee. In order to build a "firewall" for ethical review between the "uncertainty" of technological innovation and the "certainty" of legal rules, and provide legal protection for the compliance and ethical legitimacy of medical research.
