边坡工程与堤坝工程研究进展
摘要
Slope stability problem is one of three classical problems in soil mechanics, which has not been solved completely due to the influence of complex factors of geology and environment. With the successive implementation and promotion of national strategies such as building China’s strength in transportation, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the Western Development, numerous new challenges and research opportunities have occurred in the slope engineering and the embankment dam engineering that cover various engineering practices in civil, transportation, and water conservancy fields. This work briefly reviews the state-of-the-art research of the earth slope engineering and embankment dam engineering, covering three aspects: methodology of earth slope stability analysis, disaster mechanism and mitigation measures for embankment dam engineering, and new technologies of their reinforcement. The review focuses on discussing the failure mechanisms, numerical simulation methods as well as stability analysis theory and safety assessment methods, and further elaborates on the direction of future research. With the developments of geology, seismology, soil science, biology, computational mechanics, artificial intelligence and other disciplines, the integration of interdisciplinary subjects may effectively promote the important research advances in slope engineering and embankment dam engineering.
