[Analysis of Factors Influencing Carbon Emissions at the Provincial Level and Trend Prediction Under the "Dual Carbon" Goals: A Case Study of Shandong Province].

) was the key factor in promoting carbon reduction in Shandong. ② Shandong is expected to achieve carbon peaking before 2030, with the energy-saving development scenario and the clean development scenario (CD) reaching carbon peaking five years earlier than the business-as-usual scenario. ③ CD is the optimal emission reduction pathway for Shandong to achieve low-carbon development, with the emission reduction rate in 2060 reaching 70.63% of the peak year. Based on the research findings, rational suggestions are proposed for the low-carbon transition in Shandong from aspects such as adjusting the energy structure, enhancing industrial energy efficiency, and accelerating the process of electrification.
