摘要
The reduction mechanism of cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid was investigated polarogra・ phically。Three waves appeared on polarograms within the pH range from O to6・The五rst wave, which was observed in strongly acidic media,was considered to be due to the adsorption of the product on the dropping mercury electrode.The cathodic process corresponding to the second wave was explained by assuming a CEC mechanism involving a preced三ng protonation to free acid.The electroacitive species for the third wave,which appeared in weakly acidic media,was considered to be cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid itself,From the results of wave analysis of the third wave
