天然气耦合煤炭的低碳能源系统:中国向低碳能源过渡时期的解决方案?

The contradiction between the current domination of China's energy sector by carbon-intensive resources and the urgent need for the development of green, low-carbon energy offers a great challenge for transition toward China's low-carbon era. Because of this challenge, based on the "green carbon science" concept, an integrated coal- and gas-based energy system is proposed as a possible solution to China's current carbon-intensive energy use. The geographical distribution and quality of unconventional gas resources were assessed to suggest blending rates with coal, which has a higher carbon content and lower hydrogen content. Integrating these two sources produced syngas for fuel and chemicals synthesis. Removing the water-gas-shift unit used in normal syngas operations allowed improvement of both energy and carbon efficiency and also permitted CO<sub>2</sub> to be used as a resource. Such results suggest an integrated coal- and gas-based energy system as a strategic option to be deployed in China's transition toward a low carbon era. Expanding the analysis further, we discuss a number of other systems. These include using gas and coal to produce oil (CGTL), to produce methanol-MTG for gasoline systems (CGTG), and further integrate algal resources to produce oil (BCGTL). Technical evaluations and detailed explanations of these processes are provided herein.
