Abstract：The client used to feel inferior because she was not beautiful，and she was passive and depressed.She came to consult for obsessing with cosmetic surgery.The core issue of the case is self harm，which involves the relationship between the client and others and the ego state in relationships.In consultation，the counselor helped the client identify Self-respect regulation，interpersonal patterns，and clarified deep unconscious emotions.The consulor provided a new stable relationship for the client，that is，the relationship with the consulor，so as to help her form a healthy relationship template.The consulor encouraged the client to form idealized goals，so that she could reduce the desire to use others to promote self-esteem.The consulor， as an idealized object，mirrorred her timely and appropriately，revising her inner self-image and gradually echoeing with the real state.
