On Some Elephant Teeth from Hiroshima and Yamaguchi Prefectures
摘要
In September, 1958 the writer had a chance to examine some Proboscidean collection in the GeologlCal Institute, Hiroshima University, by the courtesy of prof. S. IMAMtJRA. He had procurred the specimens from some VIII()rkmen engaged in dredging naval scraps in the waters ofぎMoroshima island, Hirosbima Prefecture (Inland Sea). The greater part of the Proboscidean specimens gained in large quantity were of Palaeoloxodon naumanni (MAIく・) and its allies・
