The Movement of Phosphorus in Young Pine Plants
摘要
The importance of movement of phosphorus in forest trees is not very much known. The author had made an observation on the movement of phosphorus in seeds and seedlings of Pinus thunbergii and P. densiflora. In Section 1, the content of phosphorus in seeds and difference of phosphate form in ripe seeds and unripe seeds were studied. Section 2 consists of three parts. In the first part, the movement of phosphorus in germination process; in the second part, the distribution and redistribution of radioactive phosphorus absorbed by the radicles of young seedlings; and in the last part, the change of phosphate form in young seedlings. In Section 3, the movement of phosphorus absorbed from one root branch of roots system was studied using radioactive phosphorus, and the two patterns of phosphorus translocation were discussed.
