Characteristics of Shape Variation of Rippertip--From Field Test

The characteristics of strength of rock mass for wear of rippertip\n\tare expressed precisely as "Index of rock mass strength for wear".\n\tThe wear amount and the wear length of pointed end of tip increase\n\tapproximately with linear relationship to the ripping operation time,\n\tand each slope varies respectively according to the index of rock mass.\n\tFor the rock mass which both index of rock mass strength for wear and\n\tabrasive strength of rock are small, the wear of side parts of tip progresses\n\tmore rapidly rather than that of pointed end of tip. On the\n\tother hand, for the rock mass which both index of rock mass strength\n\tfor wear and abrasive strength of rock are large, the wear of pointed\n\tend of tip progresses more rapidly rather than that of side parts of\n\ttip.
