Pseudohyperkalemia in thrombocythemia
摘要
Spurious serum hyperkalemia occurs in the presence of extremely high platelet or white cell counts.Unlike other more commonly encountered artifacts,this spurious hyperkalemia cannot be confirmed or excluded by repeated analysis of serum samples.A high level of alertness is required to avoid misinterpretation and potentially harmful intervention.
