摘要
First Joint meeting of the Geological Society of China(GSC)and the Geological Society of America(GSA)Brought together by the GSA International Section Chengdu,China in 17–19 June 2013.The abstracts are available online and can be downloaded for free.In 2013,the First Joint meeting of GSC and GSA were successfully held in Chengdu,China on 17-19 June,with about500 participants in these meetings.A total of 531 abstracts were received,and 15 topics:1)including the geotectonic evolution of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau,2)Continental deformation and deep lithosphere processes,3)Origin of ophiolites,podiform chromites,UHP minerals and tectonics,4)Foreland basin tectonics and sedimentation(north of the Tibetan Plateau),5)Deep Earth processes through geochemistry,6)Accretionary orogens and growth of the continental
