摘要

A horizontal 2-D model is employed to study the sediment dispersion and seabed morphology of the subaqueous Yellow River delta under the joint effect of tide, wind and river flow. The ending reach of the Yellow River channel was shifted from the Qingshuigou channel to the Qingshuigou-Chahe channel in 1996. The model is calibrated with the hydrographic, topographic and sediment data collected in 1998.Sediment deposits around the present river mouth, forming a lunate submerged nearshore ridge. The silty spit at the former river mouth is being eroded. The model is validated in tendency and magnitude of the seabed morphology from 1998 to 1999. It is used to predict the seabed morphology of the subaqueous delta under the action of estuarine hydrodynamics.
