Hypersensitivity Reaction to Oxaliplatin

摘要

Oxaliplatin is an active chemotherapeutic agent in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. With the widespread use of oxaliplatin in colorectal cancer, we are now encountering a significant increase of hypersensitivity reactions to oxaliplatin. We report therefore a 45-year-old male patient with sigmoid colon adenocarcinoma who developed anaphylactic reaction during the 6(superscript th) course of oxaliplatin infusion, and review the literature with regard to oxaliplatin hypersensitivity reaction.
