摘要

A 13-year-old girl presented with pain, swelling and local tenderness of the right knee region for two months. The radiograph findings showed a radiolucent lesion confined to the right patella. Computed tomography (CT) demonstrated an expansile osteolytic lesion without cortical breakthrough or calcification in the right patella. The pathological diagnosis was giant cell tumor. A literature review indicated that our patient was the youngest known to have a giant cell tumor in the patella. Curettage with phenol cauterization and allograft reconstruction was done. Following surgery, range of motion exercise was started 6 weeks of immobilization with a long leg splint. The postoperative course was unremarkable and the patient regained full range of motion without pain.
