APPLICATION OF A NEW METHOD IN STUDYING THE SCATTERED STAGE-DISCHARGE RELATIONSHIP OF UNSTEADY FLOWS
摘要
Based on analyses of field data at some hydrological stations on the Middle Yangtze River for a long time period, a new model to simulate stage-discharge relationship is developed with the consideration of the water surface slope. Applying this model the river flow characteristics are analyzed and the computed results agree well with the field data. The analysis also takes into account the effect of water level at the downstream station and reveals the law of change of the stage-discharge relationship.
