结构搜索程序CALYPSO在新型超硬材料探索方面的应用

摘要

Superhard materials are widely used in many technological fields, such as abrasives, cutting tools. It is important to exploring new superhard materials. Structure prediction methods, for example CALYPSO, can determine the structure of experimentally synthesized superhard materials with unclear structure and can explore new superhard materials, which is important to searching new superhard materials. Here, we reviewed the progress of exploring new superhard materials by CALYPSO. These materials are composed of B, C, N, or are formed by inserting B into transition metal lattice. More, their hardness, electronic structure, and elastic properties were summarized in this paper.
