Research on safety and cost-benefit of influenza vaccine

Objective To evaluate the safety and benefits of influenza vaccine after vaccination with the split influenza vaccine.Methods 587 elder people who received the influenza vaccine as vaccine group,and 618 elder people,from the same community who didn't vaccinate,but match the vaccine group,as control group.Two fellow-up surveys were carried out after vaccine during six months.Results The frequency of adverse effccts was 3.46％.None of cases were severe and have resolved in a short time.The protective rate against respiratory diseases was 64.29％.The benefit-cost ratios were 6.24:1 and 1.24: 1 in 3 and 6 months respectively after vaccinated.Conclusions The split influenza vaccine is safety and effective for elder people.
