The cocktail treatment of chronic nonbacterial prostatitis

Objectives To evaluate the effect of the cocktail treatment of chronic nonbacterial prostatitis by antibiotics,stresanagement,local treatment,biological feedback therapy,Chinese medicine and α-adrenergic blocking agents.Methods Cases of diagnosed chronic nonbacterial prostatitis were treated with the cocktail treatment.As controlled trial,one group of cases were treated with α-adrenergic blocking agents and antibiotics and another group of cases with adjunctive treatment comprised of stresanagement,local treatment,biological feedback therapy,Chinese medicine.Results Follow-up after 12 weeks,the effective rate is 82.1％ in the cocktail treatment group,significantly higher than 57.3％ in the α-adrenergic block ingents and antibiotics group and 43.6％ in the adjunctive treatment group.Conclusions The treatment of chronic nonbacterial prostatitis with the cocktail treatment is safe and effective.Adjuvant therapy is also important and indispensable.
