摘要
The effect of branching and salt concentration on the shape of the \nmicelles is shown in Fig. 22, where the equilibrium volume fractions for \nspherical micelles (near the CMC, and at "¢; = 0.01), cylindrical micelles, \nand flat membranes are compared for A 12B3 with Sn = 1 and Sn = 6. For \nthe linear chains and low salt concentrations, spherical micelles are favored \nover cylindrical aggregates and membranes. At higher salt concentrations, \nthe equilibrium bulk volume fractions for spheres ("¢; = 0.01), cylinders, \nand membranes are rather close to each other. Spherical micelles are still \npreferred at low concentrations but at higher overall concentrations the \nsystem may be very polydisperse because the equilibrium volume fractions \nfor spheres and cylinders are hardly different.
