摘要

Forty burn patients were treated in last two years by the method of covering excised or tangentially excised wound with lyophilized glutaraldehyde pigskin, and then planned replacing by autograft skin according to patient's condition. The result showed that the survival rate of the patients was 92.5%. Patients with burn area less than 92% TBSA or third-degree wound less than 81% TBSA survived. This method is effective for stabilizing patient's condition; helping to resolve the problem of limited donor area of extensive burn; extending the usage of meshed skin graft; increasing the taken-rate of autograft skin; improving cosmetic appearance and recovering function. Some disadvantages of this method were also discussed in the paper.
