PROGRESS IN CLINICAL APPLICATION OF SCALP-ACUPUNCTURE

摘要

Scalp-acupuncture is a remedy for treating diseases by stimulating scalp-acupoints with acupuncture needles or other physical methods.Since 1970', scalp-acupuncture therapy has been developing rapidly, and has formed various scalp-acupoint nomenclature systems, including Jiao Sunfa' s (焦顺法 Shanxi Province of China), Fang Yunpeng' s(方云鹏 Shanxi), Zhang Mingjiu' s(张鸣九 Nanjing), Zhu Mingqing' s (朱明清 Beijing ), Tang Songyan' s (汤颂延)and Lin Xuejian' s(林学俭 Shanghai), etc.. Although they are different in theoretical basis, the stimulated sites, and the names of acupoints,they still have many common aspects in clinical indications and manipulating methods.
