FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OF TURBULENT JETS INJECTED OBLIQUELY IN CROSSFLOW

摘要

Numerical simulation has been performed to investigate the characteristics of the turbulent jet issuing obliquely into a crossflow, at the injection angles of 90° and 60°. The SIMPLEC algorithm in the bodyfitted coordinates and the wallfunction method using the RNG ke turbulence model have been adopted to simulate this flow at two jettocrossflow velocity ratios, 2 and 4. The numerical results are good agreement with the experimental measurements, the jet trajectories have been given, the separation events in the lee of the jet exit have been found, and the forming mechanism has been analyzed.
