A METHOD OF MAXIMUM RESIDUAL FOR EVALUATING PRECISION

A lot of measurements have been carried out in the struggle for production and scientific experiment. It is of importance to ovaluato precision for application of results of measurements. A method of maximum residual for evaluating precision is investigated in this paper. This is a method of calculating the root mean square error σ for evaluating precision in simple, rapid and reliable way. It is a method easy to master, and convenient to use and sprcad.In this paper, we present the general condition of the method of maximum residual and its distribution. Calculations of the distribution function and the numerical eharac, teristics of mazimum residual are investigated, and numerical results are obtained. Finally the applied methods and practical examples of maximum residual are given. The numerical tables enumerated are convenient to apply.
