Simulation research on the influence of environmental condition on LNG leakage and dispersion

摘要

With the soaring of LNG consumption,the frequency of LNG leakage is increasing. It has become a highlight for government and enterprises to know how the environmental condition has influence on LNG leakage and dispersion. Simulation research focused on how the consequence of LNG leakage accidents will be influenced by the atmospheric stability,relative humidity (RH) of the atmosphere,and surface roughness. The result of simulation analysis shows that the extent of the consequence is increasing by the rising level of atmosphere stability; the consequence extent is rising first and then decreasing along with the increase of RH of the atmosphere but increasing significantly by atmosphere stability; the consequence is decreasing gradually by the aggrandizing of surface roughness. This study will be helpful for the operators to store,transport and use the LNG in a safe way and control the consequence of LNG leakage accidents as well.
