THE CONTINUATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS
摘要
A study of some mathematical physics problems on the continuation of electromagnetic(EM) fields has been made. At first analytic expressions of EM fields in air, the upper half-space, are derived, and the theoretical formulas for the continuation of the vertical componentof the magnetic field toward into the region above a source in the earth, the lower half-space,are also given. Then under an ideal circumstance with the space above the source filled withthe same homogeneous medium, unified formulas and a priori estimate are established for thefields on both sides above and below the observation plane. Finally, a formula of stabilizationfor the continuation of the fields under this ideal circumstance is given.
