THE 1998 FLOOD OF THE YANGTZE RIVER
摘要
This paper analyses the characteristics of the flood of the Yangtze River in 1998. It is concluded thatsuccessive heavy rainfall in the whole basin, and reductions in storage capacity of lakes and flooddischarge capacity of river channel caused by sedimentation arc the main reasons of continued high floodstage along the river.
