NON-PERTURBATIVE QUANTUM FIELD THEORY
摘要
Lattice renormalization is a useful way of constructing quantum field theories. We attempt here to synthesize into a possible point of view various recent results from nonperturbative quantum field theories, including the Ising, φ~4, and the pure Yang-Mills field theories. The various topics discussed here include the importance of supersymmetry in the Wess-Znmino model, the stability of field theories, and the necessity of fermions in four dimensions. We demonstrate the appearance of spontaneous mass generation in the massless Thirring model when the coupling constant reaches a critical value.
