A minimax inequality and variational inequalities

摘要

A generalization of the Ky Fan's lemma is obtained. By this generalization a minimax inequality oftwo functions on X × Y with topological vector spaces X and Y is proved. This inequality extends some results due to K. Fan, BNS and C. L. Yen. Some applications of the inequality to variational inequalities are given.
