基于半导体量子点的单光子源: 原理、实现和前景

摘要

Deterministic and indistinguishable single photons are the prerequisite in optical quantum computing and solid-networks. Semiconductor self-assembled quantum dots offer distinct advantages in generating ultrabright single photons. Quantum dots can also be considered as a scalable solid-state platform and the interface between photon and spin qubits. Recently, resonant fluorescence and microcavity technology have promoted the generation of high quality single photons. This paper provides an overview of recent experimental progress of generating single photons from quantum dots as well as its application in quantum information and we discuss the future trends in quantum-dot based single photons.
