摘要

As one of the core components of new energy-resource installation of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), the superconducting magnet is designed and fabricated for constraining the plasma flow in a finite ring-shaped space. The related mechanical property and analysis are more important for stability of the superconducting magnet and stable runtime of the plasma in ITER. Our nation has been taking part in the international project of ITER and undertaking the procurement package of the fabrication of superconducting magnet. Since the design and fabrication of the huge superconducting magnet involve the multidisciplinary of material science, mechanics and electromagnetic science, as well as plenty of key technology issues in the process of superconducting composite conductor winding and measurements, the present progress in such research area conducted in both home and abroad is extremely lacking for the more and more demands of huge-sized superconducting magnets and equipments. The review presents some national and international progress of theoretical and experimental investigations and related multi-field coupling issues from the conductor fabrication to the operation about the ITER superconducting magnet. Some research progress and work of superconductivity mechanics conducted in group of the electromagneto-solid mechanics in Lanzhou University are also addressed briefly in the paper.
