《中国国家级湿地自然保护区保护成效初步评估》中的偏差
摘要
The method and results from the article “Protection efficacy of national wetland reserves in China” were analyzed. The results showed that the method for assessing the protective efficacy of wetland reserves was flawed because it did not differentiate the influences caused by natural factors and human management. The indexes used by the authors do not correlate well with the core functions and targets of conservation of the wetland reserves. A number of limitations and errors have also been identified in the data used in the article. Furthermore, some results contradicted to each other and the most important result of the article was not validated by any means. For all these deficiencies, the major conclusion of the article that 79% of the total area of national wetland is not well protected cannot be substantiated.
