A Rapidlatex Test for the Serological Diagnosis of Helicobacter Pylori

摘要

The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of a newly developed latex agglutination test for serodiagnosis of Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection. Gastric antral biopsies from 96 patients were examined histologically and sera were underwent latex test for HP. The ”Pyloriset latex agglutination test” showed 68% sensitivity (51 positive serological cases in 75 positive pathological cases) and 43% specificity (9 negative serological cases in 21 negative pathological cases) for HP in regard to histologic diagnosis. The validity of pyloriset test needs further confirmation. It seems not a reliable method for diagnosis of HP infection at present study.
