MFSK Modulation Recognition Using the Maximum-Likelihood Method with Noncoherent Detection
摘要
This paper proposes a method for recognizing M-ary frequency-shift-keyed (MFSK) orthogonal modulation received in additive white Gaussian noise. Under the circumstance of lack the knowledge of signal characteristic, the modulation types are estimated to provide sufficient information for communication intelligence and electronic warfare applications. The recognition algorithm is based on the maximum-likelihood method to the recognition of MFSK modulations with noncoherent detection. The simulation results are present to evaluate the performances of the proposed algorithm. The performance of recognition is evaluated in terms of the probability of successful recognition. The simulation results shows that the percentage of correct recognition goes to 90% when SNR greater than 3 dB.
