Six New Records of Sharks from Taiwan
摘要
Larvae of Palaemon ortmanni Rathbun,1902,were reared at water temperature24-27.5℃ and salinity 33-34 ppt in the laboratory.The larvae passedthrough 12 planktonic zoea stages and metamorphosed into postlarvae at the19th days after hatching.The larval development of this species belongs to”common type”.Morphological characteristics of the different larval stagesof this species were described and illustrated,and compared with those ofthree other common littoral shrimps,P.pacificus(Stimpson),P.macrodactylusRathbun and P.orientis Holthuis.
