摘要

A 42-year-old Chinese male was found to have a cystic lesion of 3 cm over posterior segment of right hepatic lobe one year ago and presented with fever and hepatomegaly on this admission. Hepatic ultrasonography revealed a 12 cm heterogeneous hepatic tumor with septa formation over posterior segment. Abdominal computed tomography also demonstrated the presence of this tumor. Aspiration of the cystic lesion revealed dark-red substances without evidence of malignant cells by cytology. Posterior segmentectomy of the liver was done and hepatic angiosarcoma was confirmed by histopathology. Unfortunately, a hyperechoic tumor recurred over the anterior segment of the liver 9 months later. Hepatic anterior segmentectomy was done but a tumor mimicking a cyst recurred over the left hepatic lobe 7 months after the second operation.
