The Implementation of an Enterprise Application Integration Platform

With the driving of rapid reaction to the changes of business rules, enterprises realize that they need to transfer their applications from single function to management of the whole processing flow. This transfer requires the enterprises to integrate the existing individual systems and re-configure its business systems. To meet this challenge, we have designed and implemented an Application integration platform for process industry (AIP/PI),which is model-driven and component-based, and composed of six main components: application configuration and execution platform, data accessing middleware, data collecting middleware, enterprise core database for production management, enterprise real-time database for production process, data integration and material balancing system. Our work has been applied to one refinery plant.
