Surgical Treatment in Vibrio Infection
摘要
From May 1988 through March 1993, 22 patients with Vibrios infection were admitted to National Cheng Kung University Hospital. Surgical treatments hsve been conducted in 16 of them, which including debridement, fasciotomy to limb amputation. All but two patients responded favorably to the operative procedures, with prompt stabilization of vital signs and recovery of the consciousness. Progression of the skin lesion did occur in 11 victims, which necessitated further surgery. The rapid course and grave prognosis of the disease warrants aggressive treatment in order to save patients' life
