臺灣龜山島附近海域產黑（魚或）之漁業生物學研究

Black croaker, Atrobucca nibe (Jordan et Thompson) is one of the most important economic fish in Taiwan, which were caught from the surrounding waters of Guei Shan Island in northeastern coast of Taiwan, by pair trawlers or long lines. 1,257 specimens were collected from Ta-shi fish market during the period from December, 1980 to March, 1982. The relationship between otolith radius (R mm) and total length (T.L. mm) are: T.L.=192.654+76.336R (female) T.L.=-85.554+72.226R (male) The von Bertalanffy growth equation in both sexes are: L1=945.2(1-exp (-0.227(t-0.008))) (female) L1=484.1(1-exp (-0.201(t+0.354))) (male) The monthly changes in. gonad maturity index indicate that the spawning season was from March to May, with the peak in April. The food items found in stomach contents included shrimps, fishes, squid and other unidentifed items, among them shrimps occupy 54% frequence of occurrence and there is no seasonal definited change in the empty occurrence throughout the year.
