Spontaneous Subperiosteal Orbital Hematoma
摘要
We report a case of spontaneous subperiosteal orbital hematoma in a 56-year-old man. The patient had acute radiating pain in the left orbit, proptosis with limited motility, ecchymosis of the eyelids and vomiting. The diagnosis of subperiosteal orbital hematoma was confirmed by computed tomography. The lesion appeared to regress on its own after a few weeks. However, the cause of the hemorrhage could not be determined from his background and thus we feel this to be a case of an actual spontaneous subperiosteal orbital hematoma.
