Alpha-Keto Acids in Pine Seeds
摘要
α-keto acids in pine seeds (Pinus Thunbergii) at the germination stage were analysed as 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazones by paper chromatography of n-butanol saturated with 3% aqua ammonia. Pyruvic acid and α-ketoglutaric acid were found at all phases, and they increased gradually with the germination process. Their rise and fall have no relation to chlorophyll building and photosynthesis. In this experiment, oxaloacetic acid was not detected at all under light or dark condition.
