MRI of Endometrioma of the Abdominal Rectus Muscle: a case report
摘要
The endometrioma of the abdominal wall is a rare disease which usually mimics a soft tissue tumor. A 34-year-old female presented with a painful mass in the right lower abdominal wall for one year which finally proven as a rectus abdominis muscle endometrioma by excisional biopsy. We report the MRI findings and sonographic findings of this patient. Areas of mixed high and low signal intensity on T1 and T2 weighted images are suggestive of previous hemorrhage and presence of hemosiderin within this mass.
