Metal-insulator transition in liquid Cs-Au alloys
摘要
It is shown that a simple model for electrons localized in $F$ centers in liquid ${\mathrm{Cs}}_{x}{\mathrm{Au}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}$ alloys can account quantitatively for the physical properties of localized electronic states which have been observed close to the stoichiometric composition $x=0.5$. The insulator-to-metal transition occurring as $x$ is increased can be explained in terms of a Mott transition.
