摘要
This note from the field describes how the Taiwan Alliance to Promote Civil Partnership Rights came into being on August 11, 2012. It aims at promoting a civil partnership law and same sex marriage. Twenty-six years have elapsed since Mr. Chi Chia-wei took the initiative to secure the approval of the court for his same sex marriage. The LGBT and gender related organizations finally succeeded in attracting the attention of the main stream society. This note also explains the contents of the legislation on pluralistic family arrangements and its meaning and value for present-day Taiwan society.
