A New Basal Titanosaur （Dinosauria： Sauropoda） from the Early Cretaceous of China

摘要

A new dinosaur of Early Cretaceous age was recently discovered from the Mazongshan area of northwesternGansu Province, China. The new dinosaur represents a new genus and species of Sauropoda, and is among the most basalmembers of Titanosauria. Its finding also suggests that titanosaurs might have originated in Asia no later than the EarlyCretaceous.
