A microtubular structural amakinite
摘要
A kind of ferrous particles Which are different from those of chemical deposit amongthe sediments of the dam seepage water at a certain reservoir in China has been observed.Their shapes show hollow tubes, Which perhaps are a kind of biogenic minerals. Thestructure, micrograph and chemical component of this sediment were studied withX-ray diffractometry, infra-red spectrometer, scanning electron microscope(SEM) and ana-lytical transmission electron microscope(AEM). It is determined to be a weakly-crystallinicamakinite.Discovering this tubular amakinite has a new significance in investigatinghypergene ferrogeochemistry, biomineralogy as well as safty and reliablity of rock-soil pro-ject.
