Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) isa myeloproliferative disorder that has beenshown to occur at the level of pluripotent stemcells. It is characterized cytogenetically by thepresence of Philadelphia (Ph~1) chromosomewhich originates from the reciprocaltranslocation t(9;22) (q34; q11).
