镜下清理、刨削、髌外侧减压术治疗膝关节骨性关节炎

Objective To explore the therapeutic efficacy of knee osteoarthritis with arthroscopic debridement and lateral decompression of the patella. Methods 53 patients with knee osteoarthritis, according to clinical symptom, radiographs, patellar inclination test and gliding test, were treated with arthroscopic debridement and lateral decompression of the patella. Results All patients obtained primary wound healing. No knee bleeding happened. With foll-wing-up in average 28 months. Three patients felt pain after fatigue. Two had functional limition of the knees about 30 degree. Two had total knee replacement because of symptom recurrence after 2 years. Others had no obvious pain and motion of the knee was normal. Lysolm knee score was 42 ± 8 preoperative and 83 ± 6 postoperative. Conclusions Arthroscopic debridement and lateral decompression of the patella can be an effective surgical procedure to alleviate pain of the knee in patients with osteoarthritis, especially for those with lateral retinaculum tightness and limitation of the patella. Exactly preoperative patellar condition should be evaluated thoroughly.
